In December of 2000, Drs. William Edwards and Cynthia Radosevich began plans to establish a state-of-the-art facility to provide patients with the latest treatment options in a convenient, easy-to-access location. Having worked together for several years with an excellent team of oncology care clinicians, it was a logical step to tap into this team’s expertise and build a new facility in the growing part of northern Illinois.

The doors of ACT Medical Group opened on January 10, 2002 at 2473 McFarland Road in Rockford. Patients were able to see four board certified physicians in a new, easily accessible facility with on-site chemotherapy infusion rooms, x-ray capability and an in-house laboratory.

Today, our group continues to grow with the addition of three physicians, guided imagery, a physician assistant, an advanced practice nurse and financial counselors. As we grow, our goal remains the same: to treat patients as a whole, not just their disease, with state-of-the-art care and treatments in a pleasant and highly-accessible setting designed to make patients comfortable and to maximize recovery.
